It is also the venue for the Summer festival and local celebrations. There is a 1844, neo-Gothic Church and a 1910 library. The Shimla State museum houses a huge collection of Mughal and Rajasthani paintings, sculptures, coins, handicrafts, photos and a library loaded with historical books and manuscripts.

You can visit nearby beautiful Chadwick waterfalls that have a height of 1586 meters and are encircled with thick green woods amidst steep hills of pine and deodar. Prospect Hill is home to the Goddess Kamna Devi Temple visited by people from all over the country and is a popular trekking spot of rare beauty. Annandale, at a height of 6,117 ft, is a favorite spot for cricket, picnics and polo.
